Streamlining Industrial Automation Solutions:

Making Complex Choices Simple

In the world of industrial automation, technology continues to develop at a relentless pace, blurring the lines between the traditional concept of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). Conventional wisdom may have you believe that PLCs were more appropriate for small scale operations whilst DCSs were more at home on large plants, but with all the leading manufacturers introducing highly capable, scalable and compact Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), Industrial Networks, Distributed or Remote I/O and Operator Interface Panels, your decision is made simpler choosing what works best for you in any size plant.

Here at Ideal Process and Automation we believe in supplying the very best equipment, at prices that won’t be matched anywhere else. As well as a huge range of PLCs and PACs we can supply everything else that your plant may need and all from the world’s leading brands.

From Rockwell Automation (incorporating Allen-Bradley products) who produced the first ever PLC, we supply the ever-popular range of ControlLogix series of PACs which is backed up by the less expensive but just as powerful CompactLogix system both of which have accompanying accessories such as power supply modules, Input/Output (I/O) modules with pre-made wiring looms as well as Communications modules for powerful industrial networking.

While the ultra-flexible Micro800 series now supersedes the Micrologix and Pico series of Rockwell PLC’s as well as the SLC series being phased out, some stocks of these can still be obtained for a limited time to cater for maintaining your existing plant. This completes our catalogue of PACs from Rockwell but in addition we also carry the Powerflex range of variable frequency drives (Powerflex series 4, 40, 400 and 750) and both Flex I/O and Point I/O, distributed I/O modules.

Also featured in our catalogue is a range of products from the Omron stable, including CPUs, power supplies, I/O and communication modules and features the CJ2 series of PACs which come with a built-in multifunctional Ethernet port which facilitates high speed data exchange and superb performance. Extreme scalability is another prominent feature of this particular range. Siemens have the largest slice of the global PAC market, and one of their most popular items is the S7 1200 and we would be happy to supply you with this - it could be your ideal choice if looking for efficiency and flexibility in the medium to lower performance range. For cutting-edge technology and performance, you can’t go past the S7-1500 model from Siemens. For ultra-compact small machine applications, the Siemens LOGO would make an excellent choice.

However, if you are looking for a more high-performance series of PACs we have the extremely powerful, single control engine Emerson (formerly GE Automation) RX3i series. This rack-based series offers fast consistent control between modules and once again is a highly scalable system.

Schneider produce the Modicon brand of PACs including the mid-range M340 series and the advanced M580 series which features the Safety Controller modules, which have all the high end features you may expect but with its own optional safety system meaning that you don’t have to implement your own separate systems. Also from Schneider, we supply from the GTO and GTU series of Operator Interface Panels and a selection of Variable Frequency Drives.

At Ideal Process and Automation, we are constantly striving to expand the range of products that we have available for you, technological developments ensure the market is always moving forward.

If you look for a specific product on our site and don’t find exactly what you need, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do whatever we can to help.
